Next time you pop a Viagra pill or any other drug for erectile dysfunction (ED) think twice. A research has proved that people who take medicines for ED are at high risk of hearing loss.
In the study it was found that 11,500 men over age 40 who took ED drugs were at double the risk of hearing problems than people who took no drugs. This has been proved long back, Cialis an ED medicine already carries a warning stating the side effects of the drug’s use including hearing loss. FDA has also made it mandatory for ED drug manufacturing companies to notify the users about any such side effects due to heavy use of the drug.
ED drugs are part of a class known as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, which work by stimulating blood flow to certain tissues. Despite the risk of hearing loss associated with ED treatments, the condition shouldn't be ignored, since it can signal serious health problems
Health researches have already proved that people with ED are at a high risk of heart strokes. Erection is a vascular activity and if does not happen naturally it causes the proper blood flow to stop which can lead to a stroke that can even be fatal. The chances of high cholesterol and high blood pressure are also high. ED is a serious health problem and should not be ignored. Taking drugs do not to prevent it but just make it vanish for a short period of time. Doctors urge ED patients to go for a permanent cure through prescribed medicine and active physical activities.
Men can prevent a lot of deadly disease by going through proper medication under a doctor’s supervision. After all Viagra will not always help.
